The Author

Hello there! Welcome to the world of photography! I am Nándor and presently I live in Brașov, Romania. I'm a professional photographer and I'm honored that you are  taking the time to read in what follows. What you are going to discover in my site is not necessarily a portfolio, but rather my story, my view on photography in general.

profile

My very first contact with a camera was at the age of 10, when my father bought me the first one, a leather case SMENA, an extremely well appreciated Russion camera at the time, which had a very rigid shutter button that I had to press hard to be able to take a photo. It was a camera with a roll of film inside, as there were no digital cameras at the time. The roll could be rewound only manually and the wheel always indicated wrongly the remaining of the positions, consequently, there were many double exposures, overexposures or even untaken frames.

At the time, it wasn’t about composition, light, feelings, but a simple act of play full of joviality of taking photos with my family and my friends.

Since then, many cameras have passed into my hands. Today, photography, for me, is a tool of self-realization and I want through my photographs to offer the viewer something more, a reflection of states and rational and emotional details, conveying certain messages and feelings beyond words.

Photography has changed my whole life. When I look through the viewfinder of the camera, I look at the world differently noticing the small details that once seemed to be hidden from my eyes: the image of a leaf, a butterfly, a human smile, all these are now much more beautiful and valuable than they were before. Through my photos I bring to the fore the role of conscious observation, an exploration of the outer and inner worlds.

I like sincere people and the sincerity of the moments, I enjoy getting my inspiration in everything that surrounds me. As well, in noticing the fine details or the innermost feelings, an important role has played those ten years in the educational system as an English teacher, where I have been responsible for the education of children and where, educating them, I have never allowed myself to neglect their emotional state.

Whether I take event, portrait, nature or wildlife photos, it’s always about the message, about the storytellying and about emotions.

Finally, I thank my family who supported my passion sometimes taken beyond the real, but not in the unreal, but in a world full of knowledge.

I'll end here now, let the photos speak for me!
